The BIG program is an evidence-based, effective treatment for the speech motor system and to the motor system of the arms and legs of those impacted by Parkinson’s disease.

The program trains people with Parkinson’s Disease to use their body more normally. People living with Parkinson’s disease often move differently, with gestures and actions that become smaller and slower, often resulting in difficulty getting around, getting dressed and more.

BIG effectively trains improved movements for any activity, whether “small motor” tasks like buttoning a shirt or “large motor” tasks like getting up from a chair or maintaining balance while walking.

Our staff is trained in this highly effective program designed to improve major motor skills such as walking, moving the arms and legs and balance. The treatment we are able to provide improves walking, self-care, and more. It teaches people how and when to apply extra effort to produce bigger motions- more like the movements of everyone around them.

We are proud to provide this unique intervention, as BIG & LOUD has proven to have such excellent results in improving the quality of life of those diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease as well as other neurological disorders.
